Let's go Heat!

Hello everyone! Our challenge this week at the Friday Mashup is to create a CAS card using the colors of your favorite sports team. I am not a big fan of any team, but I really like the basketball team the Miami Heat. The colors are red, yellow, white and black. I was inspired by Maille Belles to create this card.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Pencil technique!

Hi bloggers! Happy Friday! This week we have a fun challenge at the Friday Mashup. We have to use a technique that I have never done before and I love it. I don't really know if it has a specific name but if you click here it will show you how to do it.  I think from now on I will be using this technique more often. I love the pencil look it gives. If you want to see more samples, look at the creations of the Friday Mashup team and I hope you get inspired.

I used the In-Color cardstock, Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, and Strawberry Slush from the new catalog 2013-2014, and the designer series paper Gingham Garden...aren't they gorgeous? They are so lively and beautiful!

Have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Monochromatic!

Welcome to a new Friday Mashup challenge and a sneak peek at the new Stampin' Up 2013-2014 catalog and new products will be available in June. For inspiration check out the rest of the Friday Mashup team and play along!

The challenge calls for monochromatic scheme and/or using baking twine. I stamped part of the Wildflower Meadow stamp on the focal point and I embossed it with Melon Mambo embossing powder. The paper is from  Gingham Garden and for  the banners I used washi tape that combines perfectly with the rest of the card. The sentiment is from Loving thoughts (Wood 125843 Clear 125845)

Get Sketchy!

What a fun challenge we have at the Friday Mashup this week! Amy, our hostess, wants us to follow a sketch and she made a tutorial about how to use a designer series paper to create a set of cards. Isn't that amazing! You can find the tutorial at the Friday Mashup blog. I haven' created a set of cards I just made only one card using the technique.

I flipped the sketch sideways because I wanted to add the bow and I thought it fits better on the sketch that way. The products I used are: Print Poetry Designer Series Paper stack (129312), and My heart stamp set (126557).

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using "the sketch".
  2. Create a "set of cards".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a "set of cards using the sketch".

Congratulations Graduate!

Last week I had a very hectic week. I went to New York City with my daughter's school, and we came back on Saturday night. I was so behind with my schedule that I didn't post my card for the Friday Mashup and I am the hostess this week, shame on me!

May is a crazy month for me. Two of my daughters graduate, one from University of Miami and the other from 8th grade. Each of them in their own world has their excitements and achievements. I made a card with the colors of the University of Miami because that one graduates first, actually this coming Thursday, and the other at the end of May. So my challenge for this week is to create a project for graduation and mash it up with any type of embossing.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project for "Graduation".
  2. Create a project with "any kind of Embossing".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a project with "Embossing for Graduation".
